Baccarat For Your iPod

There are lots of games on the internet. Internet Casinos are all the rage, and there are lots around, such as www.onlinecasino.org.uk.  Check out the website to find out more information. What could be better than trying out the games on offer without having to wager a cent.

In the latest development from Bristol in the UK, Code Redman announced that Baccarat 88, the fourth installment of the popular range of card games exclusive to the iPad, iPhone and iPod will be released. The best part, it will be available as a free download.

As you probably could’ve guessed, the game is based on the popular casino game baccarat. The whole basis of the game is to predict the outcome of two hands. There are two players, the banker and the player and three possible outcomes, banker win, player win or a tie.

With Baccarat 88, players have the option of optional backgrounds and sound effects, all coupled with a fast and responsive game play using large animated cards.

Other popular casino games available in the series include Pontoon 88, Blackjack 88 and Poker 88. Should players run out of chips, the game will automatically give them more chips after a half an hour. They do however have the option of buying more chips should they wish to do so.

There is also an alternate release available called Baccarat 88 Infinte. The only difference: in this version should you loose all your chips, you instantly get credited with 50’000 chips.

3D iPod And Games?

Author: iPodGamer  //  Category: General, Online Casino

Rumours recently surfaced after Nintendo released their 3DS onto the market, that Apple would soon also be releasing a 3D version of their popular iPod Touch mobile device.

The rumour has it that Apple are considering a glasses-free version of the 3D implementation. Recently at CES, Sharp demonstrated an autostereoscopic 3D display on a phone. By simply taking a picture with the phone, the image would then automatically be displayed in 3D on the screen. The phones are set to be shipped later this year, but no clarification could be obtained from Sharp as to when they would be available.

But all eyes at Apple will be on the Nintende 3DS sales and acceptance by the mobile -carrying consumer. Will consumers find the technology useful, or will it be a gimmick?

[hana-flv-player video=”https://www.ipodgaming.net/videos/Dr-Magoos-Adventure.mp4″ width=”313″ height=”185″ description=”Dr. Magoo’s Adventure” player=”2″ autoload=”false” autoplay=”false” loop=”false” autorewind=”true” clickurl=”https://www.ipodgaming.net/go/silversands-euro/” clicktarget=”_blank” splashimage=”https://www.ipodgaming.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-slot-game-dr-magoos.jpg” /]

Online Casinos have embraced the new technology with open arms though. Take Dr. Magoos Adventure as an example.  The whole slot game is designed to implement clever 3D techniques, so the symbols, which include Parrots, Monkeys, Maps, Binoculars, Doors to the Unknown, and even Dr Magoo himself, come to life in their 3D world. The great graphics don’t hurt either!

It would seem the next step in the iPod’s evolutionary ladder  is 3D, but will the idea be given some 3 dimensional depths by the powers that be? Or will we see a new generation of iPod’s with bigger processors, better cameras and longer battery life? Only time will tell…

Gaming Devices Will Be At The Centre Of Future Success

Author: iPodGamer  //  Category: General

“Gaming devices will be at the centre of the company’s future success” – so feels Greg Joswiak, Apple’s IPhone and iPod Chief. He also feels that the iPod is a better gaming device than the Nintendo DS and Sony’s PSP. He also added that the last quarter was the iPod’s biggest quarter ever, taking into account it was a non-holiday quarter as well.

Says Greg: “So, iPod proved quite impressive and a big part of its success was the launch of the September products. No doubt, we surprised a lot of people with the success of the iPod touch”. He also feels that games are essential to the iPhone and iPod Touch’s success. He added that games have been the biggest category in all the application stores, and that there were more than 1500 games and that iPod Touch customers had a tremendous liking in them.

On the various games available, Joswiak replied – “iPod gaming can’t be categorized just in ‘casual’ games and these games have really surprised a lot of people and the reason is they are not just causal games. You will find there real 3D games and may surprise to note that we are a little over 100 days into it.” He also added that because the iPod is easier to carry, has a touch display and some cool features like an accelerometer that can enhance game play, that devices like Sony’s PSP and the DS from Nintendo are moving into the past of gaming. He also added that the electronic distribution of applications also made life a lot easier for users.

Commenting on the types of games available from the store, Joswiak says: “You will find everything on the store from the casual games to the 3D-oriented games, action games and everything that will make gaming totally changed and far more exciting and joyful experience than ever. Our developers are doing the nice job and working on original content ideas and we are hopeful that they will blow everyone away.”

In conclusion he added that because the iPod Touch will always be in your pocket, the need to carry some other gaming console would be unnecessary.
